Cat hiding

My male cat is normally a very needy cat and likes attention almost all the time. Recently my daughter moved out and there was alot of activity with that. Then a few weeks later we had a real bad storm and after that he stays hidden and only comes out long enough to eat drink and potty and maybe get petted and when we go to bed he goes back into hiding and won't come out till after our dinner time. Could he be stressed from all or some of the above?

Hi, I think you have hit the nail on the head. All the recent activity and changes would certainly make some cats very nervous and unsure of their environment.
