Cat losing weight.

Our 4 year-old male cat has stopped eating (4 days), is losing weight rapidly and attempting to eat cat litter. He drinks a little water but nothing else tempts him. Taking him to Vet today but worried about possible diagnosis.

Well there is no question here for me to answer as the only course of action in this case is to have him seen by a vet, which you are doing.

I know it must be worrying but vet medicine is very good now and most illnesses can be treated well.

I really hope the problem is not too serious and can be treated quickly and easily for you both.
