cat moody after mating

My cat which is a female was mating with a male cat but after that she's been leaking a lot of clear liquid and a tiny bit of light brown liquid. And for some reason she's in a really angry mood. she's a very loving cat sometimes but now she'll growl just by lightly petting her. the mating happened yesterday september 25'th. so do you know what is wrong with her? its a lot of liquid.

cat mating can be rather painful for the female cat. the male penis has barbs which can tear the inside of the female cat. So it may well be that your cats mating was rather uncomfortable for her and she may have had a tear inside which is what the dark liquid could be. if so the white mucus could also be caused as the internal wound tries to heal.

i would leave her for a few days to calm down again and as long as the mucus etc disappears and her mood returns to normal i would not worry. but if the symptoms persist then a trip to the vets may be in order.
