Cat not going to the toilet

my cat had two kittens yesterday morning and she hasnt left them yet so she hasnt used her tray is this normal going without a wee or poo for over 24 hours and she was very fat she only had two but they are quite big

By the time you receive this reply I wouldn't be surprised if your cat has passed urine.

The reason why your cat may not have gone to the toilet could have been that she was too anxious to leave her kittens and was holding on to it as it were. I haven't heard of an occasion where giving birth would cause the inability to go.

Having said that if she still has not been able to go then you will have to contact the vet for some advice as it can be dangerous not to pass urine for a period of time like this.

Hopefully all is well now.
