cats nose is dry

my four year old cats nose is dry but he drinks plenty of water. why?

Cats noses are dry they are not like dogs who have wet noses.

Its good that your cat drinks water as this will prevent dehydration and urinary infections. however excessive drinking of water can be a sign of ill health like diabetes or thyroid problems. So keep an eye out for any excessive drinking of water.
