Clear watery bubbly stools

My kitten is about 5 months old and the other day he just got really weak and wouldnt get off the couch he went to the litter box and pooped and water with like soap bubbles came out and it was clear he had one more the next day the same and still hasnt really moved off the couch except to go potty...tonight he finally went poop and it was solid and normal and finally ate some food but then went right back to the couch...should i be really worried i was hoping it was just a stomach ache because the vet is so expensive...should i take him in asap or give him another day?

Hi well it sounds like he may be on the mend, so I would give him another day. However if it happens again or if he gets no better, a trip to the vets is always a good idea, just to be on the safe side.
