my cat had fleas and we gave her a bath and put the drops on her back and its been a day now and shes hiding under the couch and wont eat or drink whats wrong?

Cats don't really like baths and the smell of the flea treatment can be a little upsetting the first time it happens for your cat.

I really wouldn't worry at this stage. A cat will often react this way when something has happened out of the ordinary. They are just a little nervous and need some time to get over it.

Leave her alone, give her lots of space and quite. Make sure she has fresh food available etc and when she feels more confident she will start to come out again. Don’t try to approach her, let her approach you, please see my page about bonding with a cat for more tips on this here
