Who Is Kate?

tracy tilmouth

Some might what to know more about me and my experience with cats. So I have added this short bio.

During my 30 years plus of owning cats I have learned through both research and observation about cats and their behaviors, health issues and day to day care. It is my wish to pass some of that information onto you via this web site, so that you can provide the best care possible for your own feline friend.

Owning a cat can be such a rewarding experience. I have never been without one in my life. well that’s not strictly true, there was a two week period where I was kitty less, but I had to put that right as soon as possible.

I have enjoyed the fact that every one of my kitties have been so unique in personality. My first cat Ginny was a cool character who soon saw off her rival in the home (the other cat moved home, next door).

My next cat Tigger was a big silly old Maine Coon but a very happy cat. He was a big softy and just loved to bang his head against mine and anyone else’s he could find. We used to say it was a great meeting of minds.

Then came Mouse or Little Mo as she became known. She was sweet gentle kitty who had many cute habits. She went through a lot in her 17 years of life but never seemed to slow down, right to the end. She was our happy cat. She left a huge hole in both mine and my partner's life (first time I ever saw him cry).

Now we have Byron and Shelley. Two young cats full of life. One cool and a little distant but with eyes that could melt an iceberg. The other funny and a little wonky but who loves a lap and a cuddle.

UPDATE: A ginger tom called Aubrey has now joined our family. He was a stray that kept turning up and who had a odd quirky face, which simply demanded to be loved. He has been with us now for a year and is settling in just fine.

Now you are up to date with my life with all my happy cats.
