My 13.5 yr old cat is losing weight and now not eating...

Hi there. My cat is 13.5 and for about a month we've noticed some strange things happening... For the past month, he has had a lot of hairballs. I thought he was just shedding a lot (he is an indoor cat)... then 2 weeks ago, he seemed hungry all the time wanting to eat 3-4 times a day but when we'd feed him, he'd eat a bit and leave, coming back a short time later for more. This morning we found a lot of vomit from him and now he won't eat at all. He's drinking water, but thats all I've seen him do since he threw up this AM?

Any Ideas?

Amy I am not a vet and it vertainly sounds like your cat is in need of some professional care.

there are so many possibilities from cancer, heart issues, diabetes, thyroid issues the list could go on. but what your cat really needs is to see a vet as soon as possible.
