My 15 month old cat keeps meowing loudly and rolling on the floor

My cat is 15 months and lately has been meowing all the time and the keeps rolling on the floor. It happened when she was about 11 months old as well and because she's a house cat, i hear it all of the time. the only time she stops is when we pet her (she then purrs instead). whats wrong with her?
