My cat hurt her leg:(

my cat is meowing in pain when she puts her back foot on the ground and is mostly walking on three legs i think she got startled and landed too hard on it on a hard wood floor could it be broken? or if it is only sprained will it heal on its own?

well it could be a hairline fracture or just a sprain. Unfortunately only a professional would be able to feel the leg and ascertain what the problem is.

i would say though that if she is in pain then it could be rather nasty and at the very least needs some pain relief. I'm afraid a trip to the vets is really the best thing to do.
