New cat behaviors

My kitten, Lennox, is an indoor cat that is a little over 3 months old. Just today, she started sticking her butt out when I petted her. Is this normal? She also likes to play in her kitty box when it is first cleaned.

No this sounds normal behaviour to me. Most cats do this sort of raising butt thing when stroked. Don't forget also that within the next few months she will also be going into adult hood with all that entails regarding coming into heat etc.

As for playing in the litter box, well kids will be kids. who can say why they like one thing and not another. I wound't worry too much, especially as the tray is clean anyway.

Thanks for your input. She started acted normal again today, but it has been a long three days. I am glad Lennox is well. (She recently started acted wierd for her).
