sleepy attention

How come my sleepy cat acts this way: When hes just waking up, or if its time for me to go to bed- he starts to purr very loud, kneed on me, and be very presistant about licking me. If he cant get to me right away he lets out a crying sound.

the quick answer is that he is feeling content after his sleep and is happy to see you all again. The behavior is quite normal.

Cats use their voice to get attention from us as they know thats how we communicate. It's quite cute really.
