sucks fur

We found our cat about two months ago. She is about 5 months old and she sucks and licks the fur on her chest until she falls asleep. The front of her chest is wet quite often. Does she have a problem or is this normal?

Over grooming cat often be the sign of stress and they use it as a way to try and calm themselves down.
Also it is worth checking the area incase she does have something irritating her on her check. Make sure she is treated for fleas every month.

If there are no skin problems then it may just be that your cat is still trying to settle into her new home. Make sure she has lots of attention and things to do around the home and also make sure she has a place she can retreat to if things get too much for her.
