Whiskers is losing his meow

My cat Whiskers has suddenly started losing his voice (meow). It has been going on for over a week. His meow is about half as loud as it normally is. Should he be seen by a vet? He appears to be eating okay and acting normal.

It may simply be that he has a minor sore throat that will clear up in a few days. My own cat gets that sometimes. However I always say that if you are at all concerned about the health of the cat then a trip to the vet may cost a little but it is worth the peace of mind if nothing else. And if something is wrong then catching it erly is always beneficial.
Keep and eye on him for a few more days and see how he goes.
