why is my cat still jealous???

my cat is 2 years old and she is jealous of the new cat and it has beem 2 weeks is this normal or is she going to be mean to my new cat forever ?????

Hi well I can't say they will ever be friends but they may end up tolerating each other. the reason I say this is because cats are not pack animals like dogs. However there are always exception to the rules and often time and familiarity can sometimes overcome there natural instincts to be aloof from each other.

It is very important that cats are introduced to each other in such a way that they do not become afraid of each other and can get used to the new smells etc of the other cat in a secure and safe environment.

Even though they have already been together for a few weeks now I think it would still be a good idea to take them through the introduction period described on my web page here
