14 YEAR OLD MALE CAT POOPING ON FLOOR

i HAVE A 14 YEAR OLD MALE CAT WHO FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS HAS BEEN POOPING ON THE FLOOR RIGHT NEXT TO THE LITTER BOX AND THE LITTER BOX IS CLEAN. I ALSO WILL SAY THAT THE POOP IS VERY LIQUIDY.

well this is either due to a slight infection causing him some discomfort which they sometimes show by scent marking like this to comfort themselves. Or it is behavioral and is known as middening. Please see this page for more on this here

If you are unsure and you suspect that he has diarrhea then it may be best to take him to the vets for a checkup to rule out any illness which may be causing this behavior.
