16 year old cat stopped eating.

My 16 year old cat has stopped eating. He is still drinking water, but I have had to try and force feed him. He has become very letharic and weak. I have also noticed he is having a hard time lifting his head. He has tried to defecate a couple times, but with no results. His eyes are filling up with gunk and I've had to clean them a couple times. It also looks like he is having nasal problems, there is brown gunk around his nose.

hi
Sounds to me like a nasty case of cat flu, he really does need to see a vet as soon as possible. It can be quite serious, dehydration is a real danger.

I have a web page with more information on this here

best wishes Kate
