3 yr old female cat acting weird

Our 3 year old female cat has been acting strange over the last 2/3 months.

She has started to sleep in new places such as the dining room table,bathroom floor,toilet and even the bathroom sink!! and she always wants food.
It started when she appeared to be scared of the living room floor darting through the living room or walking around the edges of lounge?
She also occasionaly shakes her paw like she has something stuck to her?? all these things are new but now happen all the time.
She hardly goes out now and sleeps upstairs only to come down when she wants food which can be every 2-3 hours!!
We have a 1 year old baby would this be the cause? It was never a problem before?

Whenever a cats beghavior changes dramitically I always recommend that you have the cat checked by a vet. It is impossible to say what the probelme could be and it certainly does sound rather strange. If it was just the change of sleeping areas i would say then yes it could be because of the baby. But the other symptoms sound like there could be something going on and the only way to check is to have a check up. At least that way you will knbow for certain whether or not your cat is ill or is just reacting strangely to circumstances.
