Cat Question
Will my cat get fat after he is neutered?
This is a common misconception and one that can in some cases prevent owners from neutering their cats.
Yes its true that some cats do become a little less active after the operation and this may cause them to put on some weight. But in most cases cats will continue to follow their natural instincts to hunt and defend territory as before. All of which along with correct feeding will keep them trim.
If your cat does put on some weight then simply adjust
their feeding and perhaps switch to a brand of food designed for neutered cats, which is less calorific.
