Our monthly cat competions will now have a prize of $40 (£25) and instead of a caption competiton we want you to send us your cat photos slong with some text.
Our first compettion will have a Christmas theme to kick things off.

Kitty Grass For Our Boys
What you may be asking yourself is kitty grass and why on earth would you buy it for your cats? Well call us soft but we like to make sure our cats get everything they like and one thing they do like is munching on the grass in the garden in the summer.
Shelley in particular is a grass muncher, I assume he gets some of his moisture from it as he doesn't like to drink from bowls very much. It also helps with a cats digestion, helps them shift hair balls and is generally a nice sweet snack from time to time.
Well now that winter is upon us and the cats don't want to go outside much we felt that it would be a nice idea to buy some kitty grass for the cats which they can munch on inside during the cold months.

Article - Cat Christmas Dangers - How To Keep Your Pet Safe
There are many cat christmas dangers people are just not aware of and to be honest it is usually the last things on our minds at this time of year.

Amongst all the hustle and bustle of buying gifts, preparing food and parties and decorating the house, our furry friends can sometimes be left out or forgotten about.
Unfortunately because of all the new and different things around at this time of year like holly and shiny tinsel, there also lurks cat Christmas dangers, which if we are not careful could turn our season to be happy into a nightmare.
As you know cats are inquisitive little creatures and also prone to getting over excited when people are rushing around and there are new things to play with just lying around.
Cats particularly like shiny, sparkly things and crinkly paper, two items that are plentiful at Christmas. The problem is these items can be harmful to your pet if they are left unsupervised.
So when you are decorating your home this Christmas, spare a thought for your nosey kitty cat and make sure they will be safe. Here is a list of items that could cause harm to your cat:
- Artificial snow spray – This is the stuff used to spray on windows and trees to make it look lovely and wintery. However it is toxic to cats, so if you must use it, make sure it is used sparingly and not too accessible for possible cat licking.
- Tinsel and other decorations – Tinsel can be chewed and if swallowed can cause blockages inside the cat. Avoid placing this appealing shiny tinsel in places that your cat will be able to easily reach.
That goes for other chewable decorations as well. The best option is to not leave the cat alone with such temptations. I heard once that a cat pulled a glass ballball off of the tree and broke it, unfortunately it then managed to cut its paws on the broken glass, ouch.
