Automatic Litter Box Broke

We came home to find the automatic litter box had broke and was making a noise because it had got stuck. We threw it away and got a regular cat box. But because of the broken cat box that made the noise Charlie will not go back into the laundry room. He has been using the living room carpet has his litter box. He's now a little jumpie. Charlie is 4 years old.

hi oh dear poor kitty must have got a fright.

The best thing to do is to try and rebuild his confidence and this is best done in a small area along with his litter tray. This is a common method to help a cat get over there anxieties associated with their litter tray.
