Blackie The Cat

Blackie the cat - My name is Wendy and this is my cat.

Blackie is a male cat and is 9 years old. He lives in the USA with me.

His favourite food is:  Anything BUT turkey.

This is what I like doing the best:  Snuggles

His funny habits are: He is EXTREMELY verbal and pouts when he is not getting his way. "hmmpf!" He

How I found my cat: Little Shelter, Huntington, Long Island, NY

 We got him from a local shelter when he was 7 yrs old. They told us that he had pretty much grown up at this shelter. He was very shy and hid for the first few days we had him. We already had a kitten (about a year old) who's name is Eggy.

Blackie has been a really GREAT older brother to Eggy, AND we just recently got a new little guy, named The General. Blackie has taken a liking to cleaning his 6 week old brother, The General.

The General has had some health problems lately, and Blackie the cat does all that he can to help. He really is a great cat, and we wanted to give him some recognition for . being such a wonderful boy. It's just a shame we couldn't have taken him home sooner!

great story, it breaks my heart when I hear of cats who have spent so long at a animal shelter looking for a home. There’s nothing like a home of their own.

Thank goodness you found him and it sounds like he is paying you back for your kindness by helping you to look after the other kitties you have re-homed.

I know the hurumph sound yo mentioned. My cat Shelley is very good at this. He's a very big sigher too, I’ve never heard a cat with such a big sigh I didn't even know cats sighed before we got him. But it does make me smile when he does it. I tell him not to worry and that It will be food time soon.
