Cat belly bigger since spay

Hello,

I spayed my cat the beginning of Feb 2011. They shaved her hair and its slowly growing back. Also when she sits up her belly the part where she got spayed hits the ground. Her back two legs are also apart not together when she sits. Is this normal? I feed her the indoor science food once a day. She drinks water and poops and pees everyday. Oh and she hates when I touch her back legs.

no i would say that this is not normal. Spaying should not cause any significant changes in the cats appearance.

If i were you i would definitely want to take her back to the vets to make sure that something else has not happened in the meantime. Possibly an infection from the wound or somewhere inside. if this is the case it is better to have it checked sooner rather than later.

her symptoms are rather unusual and would suggest that she is in some discomfort.
