Cat Bleeding from mouth

by Susan
(Atlanta, GA)

My 12 year old Maine Coon has blood dripping slowly from his mouth. He is eating but, not that comfortably. Being very distant. What could be happening? The vet did blood test and xrays and found nothing wrong. Now this just started with the bleeding.

hi
My advice is to go straight back to the vets as soon as possible. this is either an issue with the mouth i.e a broken tooth or abscess or gum disease etc or it is coming from the stomach.

i hope all is well again soon

best wishes Kate
