cat chaseing his tail

I have a three year black cat that i have had since he was born. he has never even been outside. lately he has been chaseing his tail and hissing,growling. it seems like he hate his tail because it never stops moveing but i was wondering if it could be something serious?

It could be some form of parasite or skin allergy. I think the best option is to get avet to check the area for irritation etc and take it from there.
Your cat must be in some distress to chase his take ans hiss , so the sooner you can get him to the vet the better.
