cat cries in pain

around my cats tail and hips her fur is all matted and when I touch the side of her hips she cries in pain... What is wrong with her?!

Matted fur can be very painful indeed as it pulls on the skin. So this could be why she is crying out in pain. She needs to see a vet to have this removed painlessly.

The other possibility is that she has incurred a injury and blood or much as mixed in with the fur to cause the matt so there may also be a physical injury to her hip also.

please take her to see a vet as soon as possible as she is obvious;y in distress.
