Cat Declawed

I convinced my parents to get a kitten. i'm glad they let me get her. I already knew that they were going to have her spayed, but i found out that they got her declawed. i'm so upset because i personally think that that's inhumane and she's only a kitten. i feel like it's all my fault that she's not the same kitty. what should i do??

Hi
I agree with you it is a very inhumane thing to do, I just don't understand why people do it.
Any way I'm afraid there is nothing you can do now, it is too late. All you can do is love your kitten and give it a good and loving home and try to make it as comfortable as possible.

keep an eye on her paws to make sure she has no problems with them, if so take her back to the vets.

best wishes Kate

Declawing
by: Jerry

When we got Beau, he was 2 1/2 years old. He had been neutered but not declawed. We seriously id consider it and read everything we could. It appeared that declawing by laser was the most humaine.

We didn't declaw him. He responds well to training and is not destructive. In my view, it is much better to socialize your cat and the training will take hold. You'll not need to declaw him to protect your furnature.
