Cat eats my hair

My cat likes to lick and bite at my hair....is that normal? Should I let her or make her stop? Why does she do that? She's a 1 yr old neutered female. It doesn't matter if it's clean or dirty, wet or dry....she does it all the time. It doesn't bother me, per se, but worried me. Thoughts?

Hi well i wouldnt say this was normal but is probably just a little quirk of your particular cat. Personally i dont think it should be encouraged and she should be distracted with other toys when she does this. It could become a habit which turns into her eating other non food stuffs.

Their is a strange at condition known as pica which is a condition where a cat tries to eat non food stuff. See this page for more on this
