cat licking leg all the time

my 1 year old male cats for the last 24 hours keeps licking his side and his legs he is running around and cant seem to settle he was panting and breathing fast but that has stopped now

well he may have been bitten by an insect which has caused him to itch and sting and this can cause excessive licking and dashing around.

If he is still the same tomorrow then it may be a good idea to have a vet take a look at him. Hopefully though he will be fine by then.
