Cat likes me is it because I'm pregnant

im pregnant and my moms cat is attracted to me always wanting to sit on my lap i wanna know why?

well i have heard of this before. it is either because your scent has changed and this may be comforting to your cat. cats are driven by scent and the scent of a pregnant person may be particulaly nce to them.

It may simply be that she really likes you. Some cats are just drawn to certain people, why who knows. Count yourself lucky :)

There may be an element of protection here to i.e the cat may sense that you are pregnant and has the urge to stay close to protect you, both male and female cats will do this sometimes with other cats. It is really all down to the cats individual personality.
