cat likes to lay on my back why?

I have had my cat for about 10 years and she is about 17 years old. Recently she has started to lay on my back and stomach. Sometimes I roll her off because Iam uncomfortable and others times i just let her stay there. Can yo tell me why she jsut started doing this all of a sudden?

Ah the ever changing behaviors of cats will we ever truly understand them?

to be honest with you i wouldn't think there was any other explanation other than it is probably very warm and comfortable there. As cats get older they do tend to want to seek out the warmest most comfortable place and she has found that your back is the very place. i wouldn't read anything in to this at all.
