We have a cat that stays outside all of the time. He is probably about 3 years old. He has lost weight suddenly, and he is shedding badly. I see no signs of fleas or him scratching,(we use Advantage). He seems to be eating OK. Any ideas ?
Thanks

Hi
Loss of weight can be a sign of several different conditions which can only be diagnosed after blood work. Some of the possibilities are:
cat-thyroid
feline-heart-disease.html
feline-diabetes.html
But don't let these scare you it may be none of these and even if it were they are treatable. I'm afraid a visit to your vets is in order.
Hope your cat is better soon
