what happens when a girl cat meows alot and is not acting like herself i think she wants a guy cat.

well yes it could be a sign of her being in heat. of course it doesn't mean she wants a male cat it is simple her hormones triggering this reaction in her.

You know what i am going to say i'm sure. It is a lot kinder to have her spayed rather than let her go through these periods of being in heat. there are also health benefits for your cats as well as the obvious over population of unwanted kittens in the world. Lecture over sorry but i have seen the over crowded animal shelters and it breaks my heart,

Anyway, yes it is likely that she is in heat.
