cat making weird noises

My cat is about 10 months old and in the past few days has just been laying around and making wierd purring noises. She is not walking a lot and just lays around purring. I sprayed her with some flea spray because she has been itching her ears like crazy and rolling around. It is memorial day and no vets open this weekend. Any suggestions would be helpful. I am not sure if she is in pain or just being a lond pain.! THANKS!!

Well purring can be asign of stress as well as happiness strangely. So she may be feeling unwell and the purring is a sign of her feeing grotty and trying to comfort herself.

However as to what it could be it is impossible to say.

All you can do is make sure she has plenty of fresh water available near her and a litter tray. And as soon as the vets are open if her symptoms are the same take her to them for a check-up. Hopefully it is something that will pass but it is always better to be safe than sorry.
