Cat meows when picked up

my 2 yr old cat hurts and when i try 2 pick her up she meows and doesnt let me way do i do? is sge sick?!!!

well this is tricky to answer, as some cats just don't like to be picked up and will meow to let you know (little Mo is not fond of being picked up and yells when we do, but she is not inn pain just angry that we have picked her up).

It very much depends if your cats has allowed you to pick her up before but now is behaving differently. This could be a sign that she is is in pain , but the only way to know for sure would be to have her looked at by a vet.

Try rubbing her all over when she is on the floor and see if she displays any signs of pain or discomfort then.

At the end of the day only you as her owner will notice if her behaviour has changed which could indicate ill health and so you will have to make the judgement. However if you are at all unsure, it is always better to be safe than sorry and take her to the vets. At least that way you will definitely know one way or the other.
