Cat meows when visiting ex's home

We share our cat since our divorce. He is very attached to me. He visits my ex-husband on the weekends where the cat grew up but now is starting to meows all the time when he is there visiting, my ex, though loves him, doesn't want him to visit anymore.

What's up with that?

I'm not sure what the issue is here.

if your ex no longer wants the cat to visit then that will be the end of the problem.

Cats are not very good at change and so it is likely that the disruption to routine is causing your cat to feel anxious and so is calling in slight distress.

I think it would be best if you no longer took the cat with you so as to prevent any further upset to all parties concerned.
