Cat not cuddly after vacation

My 9 month old siamese cat used to always cuddle and want me to pet her. Basically forcing her headunder my hand so that i pet her.

We went away for 8 day vacation now she wont let me or my wife or my daughter pet her much. She looks not comfy and quickly walks away. And she does not cuddle as much. Its been a few days and still she is like this.

What has happened?

Well first of all she is a Siamese cat and they can be lets say more feisty than other cats. So it is possible that she is giving you the cold shoulder for leaving her.

However it could also be that she has just got out of the habit. Young cats do go through many phases and i know from my own experience that they can change quite quickly.

She is still quite young and is still finding her feet and developing her character, so this may be another phase.

however don't give up, keep trying to pet her but don't over force the issue, this could make things worse.

Over time and as her routine settles down again, i wouldn't be surprised if she returned to her old behavior.
