Cat pooping, puking and peeing everywhere

I have two 7 year old cats (not siblings but I got them about a week apart as kittens). One of them or maybe both of them are pooping, puking and peeing all over the house. The male cat likes to pee outside of the litterbox in the basement ever since a neighbor cat started bothering him through the glass door down there. And the female cat is the one who is puking everywhere (she use to do this a few years ago and I took her the vet who said she was fine and probably just eating too fast). And I don't know who is pooping everywhere. Should I take them both to the vet? I don't have the cash right now to pay for testing on two of them, but separating them in the house is hard 'cause it's only 800 square feet. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

hi
well if your male cat is already urinating everywhere since the arrival of another cat in the area it could well be that he is becoming more stressed by the situation and has moved on to even more drastic scent marking activities.

please read this page for more on this and follow the advice regarding retraining.

As for female cat and her sickness. well yes it could be that she is one of those cats that gulp down there food and then throw it back up. She may also have a problem with hairballs.

feed her smaller more regular quantities of food to see if this eases the problem.

i also have a web page about hairballs and how to treat them here
