cat problem my cat wants food all the time

my cat constantly wants food and never stops eating but is very skinny he is 19 years old and when he eats he makes a horrible noise with hes mouth. He also is loosing fur and just looks dirty and smells real bad, his paws are brown and he meows all the time just for food, is it his age??

Sounds to me like he may be suffering from a thyroid condition if he wants food all the time but is skinny. See this page for more on this

He may also have heart issues too due to his age.

Your cat needs to see a vet soon for a proper diagnosis and for treatment to be discussed for his age.

Poor guy he must be feeling awful, my old cat also suffered from a thyroid condition but luckily medication sorted her out.
