Why is my cat rubbing her but on our carpet?

Hi well if she is not spayed then it could be caused by her being in heat, this is one of the behaviors associated with this.

Other than that it would suggest some irritations in that area, either caused by a parasite or some sort, fleas or worms etc or problems with her anal glands or internal infection. In any of these cases she really should see a vet to have a proper diagnosis.
