cat shedding a lot

i have an 11 years old male cat and he is shedding too much

brushing twice a day makes no difference at all
i can pull little tuffs of hair out of him all the time, if he sits on you, you will be full of hair. it is bad

Hi cat fur loss can be caused by several things. Such as an over active thyroid, anxiety, skin irritation from fleas or other skin mites or even a allergy.

Your best option is to take him to the vet if the loss is severe. the vet will be able to check the skin and general condition of the cat which will help diagnosis.
