Cat sleeping more than usual

My almost 2 year old cat has been sleeping a lot more then usual. She's very quiet and doesn't want to play or run anywhere at all. I let my cats in my backyard and they don't leave it. So she goes outside and usually loves it, but now she just kind of sits there for awhile, may walk up and down the grass, but def not her spunky self. She's eating differently but not really that much less than her usual intake. Any ideas?

Impossible to say really, it may just be that she is feeling a little under the weather as we all do from time to time or their may be something bothering her, perhaps a new cat in the area.

Cats behavior does change from time to time also especially as they get older. i have watched my two go through so many different phases over the past year.

all you can do is to keep an eye on her and make sure she is eating and drinking as normal. If not or if her strange behavior continues then your only other option is to take her to the vets for a check up.
