cat vomits every night

My cat Missy is 3 yrs old.

Shes developed a habit of waking us up at 4am,being sick and then eating her food.
Its often enough for me to be worried.
Shes a very regimental cat at the best of times,a fussy eater too.

Hi
This is a little odd as it sounds to me like a habit to me rather than any particular cause.

As with any cat vomiting cases there are many possible reasons for the vomiting. Please see this page for some of them

One of the most common is hairballs

It very much depends on what the vomit consists of. It is actual food then I would want to have her checked by a vet. If it is phlegm then as I say it could be hairballs. Often a cat will eat afterwards as this helps to move whatever is in the throat such s a hairball.

All I can say is that if the vomit is every-night and is of a large amount of stomach contents then i would suggest that a trip to the vets would be best.

I hope she is Ok

best wishes Kate
