Cat walking funny, in pain. Help

My cat was locked outside by accident from 9am to 5pm. I noticed when she came inside that she is walking funny, and growls at me when I touch her lower back & tail to see what is wrong. She shows that she is in pain. She also hides in the closet & does not want to interact with her brother or me. Help. I have no money to take her to the vet at this time.

I'm sorry but there is only one answer to this question and that it is that your cat must see a vet and soon. If your cat has injured themselves their is always risk of infection. Plus if she is in pain then it is unfair to let it continue.
There must be animal charities near to you that can help with costs etc It is one of the reasons for animal charities , to stop suffering etc.
There is nothing you can do for free that will help, as you don't know if the cat is damaged inside, has a broken bone etc and even then only a vet can prescribe treatment. In the days before vets, cats would simply die, so we are lucky that we live in an age where animals have specialist care.
