cat wants outside

I have a new 4 1/2 month old cat,had her since she was 9 weeks old .she has been constantly running for the door and runs out everytime we open it,i want her for an indoor cat she broke the screen to get out and she constantly meows at the door could she be in heat at this age how can i stop her from this i'm at my wits end?

At 4 and half months old she is moving into adulthood and will be ready for spaying in a few weeks time.

As for her desire to go outside. I cannot speak from personal experience as i have always allowed my cats the freedom to go outside. And of course this is a natural instinct for cats.

All you can try and do is to make her inside world has much fun and stimulating for her as possible, so that she can still carry out all her instincts, such as climbing, hunting, chasing etc. I have a page on my site about indoor cats and how to try and make their inside environment as stimulating as possible. here is the link
