i have a cat that is balding and redness at butthole area what

could be causing this

hi Chad well it could be caused by fleas or worms. they irritate the cat who scratches and causes redness and the fur to rub off.

Your best option is to take them to a vet for a proper checkup and some medications for the sore area as well as treating the cause.
