cats fur is balding all of a sudden

I have a cat that can not stop grooming herself to a point that her fur is missing in places. she is an indoor cat so no fleas. She has had wo loses of a cat and dog that she was very close to. Is this something that I should be worried about? Lisa

stress and upset can cause a cat to over groom and start to lose fur. It is really something that should be stopped other wise your cat could develope sores also.

Try to pay more atention to your cat than normal, spend more time with them and play more games with them to distract them from their stress.
A bored cat will also become more self obbsessed so make sure their home environement is as interactive and interesting as possible. See my pages on cat playing and indoor cats for some ideas.
