Cats Pooping in Bed!?

I have been cat sitting for my next door neighbor and recently one of the two cats has been pooping in their basket! I have washed the basket twice now, and I have taken the basket out of the room they sleep in!? I NEED A ANSWER!?

this is a common issue and is caused when something changes which makes the cat feel insecure. This could be difficult while the cats owners are away s he probably wont feel that happy until they return.

the usual advice is to give the cat some litter training using the confinement method which helps them to feel more relaxed in a smaller area. However this may not be appropriate in this situation.there is more information on this here

Hopefully as the days pass the cat will get used to his owners being away and get more used to your visits and calm down.
