Cats wont stop fighing!

I have 2 adult cats that usually get along great. The other night they started fighting very heavily and haven't been able to be around each other without fighting again since. what should i do?? its breaking my heart to see them so unhappy with one another.

Don't worry this is not an un common problem.
Something must have happened which frightened one of them and now they blame the other cat for the fear, it is called aggression trauma.

basically what you need to do is to help them regain their confidence in each other. There is a method for this but it does take time and patience but is worth it in the end. it is the same process for when introducing new cats to each other.
